Meet the Field Superintendents

Andres Viernes

Superintendent

Andres moved to Colorado from Hawaii in 2000 and started his construction career with Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing in 2005. Andres holds several certifications including OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, Hilti, Scaffolding Inspection and Fall Protection. He has completed the AGC Supervisory Training Program and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program. Andres was promoted to Superintendent in 2016 and the projects that he is most proud to be a part of McGregor Square (2020), 1144 15th Street (2015) and 100 Steele (2014). He enjoys relaxing at home with his family.

Mark Romero

Superintendent

Mark started in the construction industry in 2006 as a roofer, he moved to waterproofing in 2008 and came to Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing in early 2009. He has completed the AGC Supervisory Training Program and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program. Mark holds several certifications including OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, Signaling and Rigging, Scaffolding and Fall Protection. He is a certified installer of Watson Bowman and GCP products. In 2012, Mark was promoted to Superintendent and the two projects that he is most proud of are 1144 15th Street (2015) and UCCS Sports Parking Garage (2019). Mark is a Colorado native who enjoys spending time outdoors, when he’s working and especially when he’s not. 

Bill Wren

Superintendent

Bill started his Waterproofing career in 1985 and he came to Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing in 2011. He has completed the AGC Supervisory Training Program and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program.  He has Lift Pro, Fall Protection Inspection, OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid certifications and is trained in STI firestopping, Scaffolding Inspection, Spider Suspended Access, Fork Lift, Hilti gun operations, and Signaling/Rigging.  Bill has been a Superintendent with ACW since 2014 and the projects that his is most proud to be a part of are Red Square (2016), Morning Star (2014-2015) and Master Magnetic Castle Rock (2020). Bill is an avid sports fan and enjoys going on long bike rides.

Kelly Townsend

Superintendent

Kelly started his waterproofing career in 1992 and he came to Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing in 2014. He has completed the AGC Supervisory Training Program and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program. Kelly has been a Superintendent with ACW since early 2015 and the projects that he is most proud to be a part of are CDOT New Headquarters (2016), 99 South Broadway (2018) and Ball Aerospace AMC Expansion (2017-2021). Kelly has three children and three grandchildren.

Rick Gonzalez

Superintendent

Rick started his construction career with Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing in 2015. Rick is a Certified applicator of Deneef grouting products. He is also OSHA 10 and CPR certified and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program. Rick was promoted to Superintendent in 2018 and the projects that he is most proud to be a part of are Z Block (2015) and 17th & Wewatta (2016). He is a Colorado native who is a huge Steelers fan. 

Sal Arzate

Superintendent

Sal is a Texas native that started his construction career in New Mexico in 2005. He moved to Colorado in 2014 and started working for Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing in 2015 and was promoted to Superintendent in 2016. Sal holds several certifications including OSHA 10, Hilti, Forklift Safety, CPR/First Aid, Foreman Training, Fall Protection, Lead Training, and GCP Preprufe.  He has completed the AGC Supervisory Training Program and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program. The projects that Sal is most proud to be a part of are: Colorado Center Tower III (2016), Lakehouse (2017), and 355 Logan (2018). Sal spends his free time with family camping, fishing and 4-wheeling.

Brandon Mueller

Superintendent

Brandon is a Colorado native that started his construction career in 2007 and moved into Waterproofing in 2014. He came to Absolute Caulking & Waterproofing 2017. He is OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certified and is currently enrolled in Portocol Management Leadership Program and has completed the AGC Supervisory Training Program. Brandon was promoted to Superintendent in early 2020 and the projects that he is most proud to be a part of are The Stella (2021), McGregor Square (2020) and 1144 15th Street (2017). He is an avid fisher and a proud Bronco fan.
